Return & refund policy

Check your shop's policy

Shilpn is a marketplace connecting you with independent Instagram boutique shops. Each shop sets its own return and refund policy. Visit the shop's storefront page to review their specific terms before purchasing.

The policy below serves as the Shilpn platform default. Individual shops may offer more or less generous terms. Always check the shop's storefront for their specific return policy before purchasing.

1. Return Window

You may return most items within 15 days of the delivery date for a refund to your original payment method. The return window begins on the date the order is delivered to the shipping address provided at checkout.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed — items must be in their original, unused condition.
  • Unaltered — items must not have been tailored, hemmed, or modified in any way.
  • In original packaging — items must include all original tags, labels, dust bags, and packaging materials.

Non-returnable items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Swimwear and intimate apparel (for hygiene reasons).
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" at the time of purchase.
  • Gift cards.
  • Items that have been worn, washed, damaged, or altered after delivery.

3. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Check the shop's policy — visit the shop's storefront page on Shilpn to review their specific return terms, window, and conditions.
  2. Contact us or the shop — email support@shilpn.com or call +1 (657) 363-6636 with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return. We will coordinate with the shop on your behalf.
  3. Receive return instructions — once approved, we will email you the return address and packaging instructions.
  4. Ship the item — pack the item securely in its original packaging and ship it to the address provided. Return shipping responsibility depends on the shop's policy.

4. Return Shipping

All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. This applies to both domestic and international returns. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as Shilpn LLC cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

Original shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.

5. Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email whether your refund has been approved.

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Please note that your bank or credit card provider may take additional time to post the refund to your account.
  • Rejected returns — if the item does not meet the eligibility criteria (e.g., signs of wear, missing tags), we will notify you and ship the item back at your expense.

All refunds are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Refunds are issued in United States Dollars (USD).

6. Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different size or color, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the desired item.

7. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@shilpn.com with photos of the issue. We will arrange a free return and send a replacement or issue a full refund, including any original shipping charges.

8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund after the stated timeframe:

  1. Check your bank or credit card statement again.
  2. Contact your bank or card issuer — refunds may take additional processing time.
  3. If you have completed both steps and still have not received your refund, please contact us at support@shilpn.com.
